So it's only going to have whatever is actually happening now on it, no matter when the link hit your feed. Whatever I was up to then has been lost to the sands of time, unless I wrote more about it on some other page.
I have a one-year-old nibling that I have realized I can just.. make toys for. This is extremely exciting to me, as a guy who both sews and has the bare-bones of a woodworking woodshop coming together. I'm mostly recovered from that overworking of my shoulder, but I'm still taking it easy and focusing on doing a slightly edited RecoveryRompwod, as I've been doing a lot of physical things for other projects and I don't want to overwork it. I intend to get the paperwork matching the workout again soon.
I follow printed workout guides that I design for myself and set up using typst! I have written more about it here. It's a in-progress project and I expect I will continue to expound on the experience as time goes on.
I am trying something out this year, BINGO!
As of this update, I've filled in 10 of the squares, and have worked on many more. Dumpsterfest had been scheduled, then delayed (we were having friends to come pick stuff up rather than actually putting a bunch of potentially reuseable stuff into an actual dumpster), and is now a bit uncertain. We are looking into our options, as generally we want to encourage reuse when that's an option. Once we decide what we're doing, and then do it, I'll have succeeded in at least one BINGO, which is pretty exciting.
While I think that at this point, a full black-out of the board is out of reach for this year, I am surprisingly close to having 4 BINGOs by the end of the year. Given that I was pulled off-track from my expected year for something like two to four months, I'm pretty proud of that.
I have noticed though, that in trying to work on making "new pages" for the website as my BINGO board demands, I've been neglecting this Now page, so I'm going to be changing what my goals are for here moving forward. I think I'm going to aim for the Now page being up-to-date monthly, we'll see how it goes. (update: this is month 3 of success on this idea)
The library is almost completely done, it's really just missing the panels for the bench, and maybe a curtain and tie back for the closet. I'm all set to sew a mock up of the front panels as soon as I can find a moment for it.
The #sunrisePottyDoor is still underway, Doorframe is painted, ..and then we realized/remembered that there had been a bit of primer that got on the edges of the door when we primed the front that need to be painted over, and the screwholes for hardware had gotten too wide and have to be filled in and then redrilled. ..so currently in the middle of that, but as soon as that's done, we should be able to hang it!!!! I have been talking with contractors about coating the flat roofs we have in silicone, and also doing some repair to the front porch roof. This is seperate of the repairs I made a while back to back porch roof.
FediZineFest! We're participating this year! Russ and I typeset Robert Kingett's the Colonization of Confidence and printed it as a half-letter booklet! If you want part of the first print run, as I write this there's 9 more physical zine bundles available for purchase, and they're available till October 30th. Sorry that I forgot to say something here till so close to the deadline. If you miss it, keep an eye out, after the zinefest participants recieve their more personalized copies, I'll be sending out a call for zine distros that want copies to distribute as well.

A few friends and I are learning Perl! It's a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to sharing the couple of projects I've been working on.
